Cinnamon Spiced Apple Chips

Red Gala or Fuji apples are great for this salad.


4 apples of your choice
3 tbs cinnamon sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 100°C fan forced. Lightly spray two large wire racks with cooking oil and place over a baking tray.
  2. Using a mandolin or sharp knife, cut 2 apples into paper-thin rounds. Place in single layer onto the wire racks, making sure they don’t touch. Sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar.
  3. Bake for 90 mins or until apples feel dry. Note that they will become crisp on cooling. Remove to a tray to cool and repeat with remaining apples and cinnamon sugar.

Tip To make your own cinnamon sugar, combine 1 tablespoon white sugar with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.

Storage Tip Apple chips store for up to 2 weeks. Best stored in an airtight glass jar. Alternatively, you can line an airtight container with foil.
